The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The exam is designed to evaluate a candidate’s understanding of undergraduate-level subjects in engineering, technology, science, architecture, and related disciplines.
